堀之内 僚
1988年10月26日生まれ。鹿児島県出身。
早稲田大学国際教養学部卒業。舞台表現、文学専攻。
2018年、Ryoとしてアルバム『Crystal line』を発表。
-生い立ちと略歴-
海や山、森が身近にある、自然豊かな土地で生まれ育つ。
４才の時、母に連れられて初めて劇場へ行き、そこで観た舞台『オズの魔法使い』に鮮烈な印象を受ける。
父が買ってきたおもちゃのピアノに興味を示し、5才よりピアノを習い始める。
幼少期より世界の国々の文化に興味をもち、NHKで放映されていた『セサミストリート』や『大草原の小さな家』、アジア・ヨーロッパの映画などに親しむ。
中学、高校時には、それぞれ鹿児島市、新聞社の派遣プログラムでアメリカでの短期滞在を経験。
高校卒業後、早稲田大学国際教養学部に進学。加藤典洋先生に文学、思想を学ぶ。
在学中、アメリカ・オレゴン州ポートランドに1年間留学し、ジェンダー学や声楽、ファインアートなどを学ぶ。また、聖歌隊に参加し現地の生徒たちとともにステージに立つ。修了後、２ヶ月間バスでアメリカ大陸を横断する旅に出る。
帰国後、舞台制作と文学に没頭。卒業制作では宮沢賢治の短編小説を原案とした演劇を仲間とともに制作、脚本のほか演出、音楽を担当し、上演する。
大学卒業後、映像や演劇の制作業務、学習塾での講師等の仕事の傍ら音楽を制作、発表する。
自らを表現すること、様々な体験を通して世界についての知を深めることをよろこびとし、日々活動している。

Ryo Horinouchi

-Biography-
Ryo was born and raised in a nature-rich land of Kagoshima, surrounded by oceans, mountains and forests.
When he was four years old, he was taken by his mother to the city theater to see his first musical play, the Wizard of Oz, which left a deep impression on him. Around that time, he enjoyed playing the toy piano bought by his father, and began taking piano lessons at the age of five.
Ryo also had an interest in foreign cultures since childhood, enjoying TV programs such as Sesame Street, Little House on the Prairie, and films from across the world.
In his teenage years, he studied twice in the United States through short-term overseas programs.
After graduating from high school, Ryo entered the School of International Liberal Studies at Waseda University and studied literature and thought under Professor Norihiro Kato. He also studied for a year at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he studied gender studies, vocal music and fine arts and joined the college choir. After returning to Japan, he was absorbed in stage performance and literature. His graduating art project was a theater performance of a short story by Kenji Miyazawa, where he was in charge of the script, music and staging.
Since graduating from university, Ryo has been creating and publishing music, in addition to working on film and theater productions and teaching at a cram school. He released an album in January 2018, and is currently preparing for new projects.
